The New Discovery Place

Mike was off on a random day during the week last week so we decided to venture out to the newly renovated Discovery Place. Granted, the renovations are still not fully complete, but there was enough cool new stuff to excite us adults in addition to our energetic little duo!

We were thrilled to see that the new kids area (specifically designed for those 7 and under) was complete.

Ella and Aidan enjoyed playing with a life-sized Light Bright......

......suspending balls "magically" in the air......

......building houses on a lit table with various colored shapes......

......and their personal favorite - banging on the "drums" - an assortment of pots and pans!

The highlight of the morning was seeing a short movie. But not just any movie! We saw a 3D movie about dinosaurs! Ella and Aidan were so cute in the theater and they wore their special glasses for the entire 20 minute film!

We topped off our morning with a nice lunch and then headed home.

I absolutely LOVE these random family days during the middle of the week!
