Flashback Friday

Today I am going to flashback through the amazing week we just completed! It was full of wonderful friends and fun activities!

We spent Monday at Veteran's Park Spraygrounds with Adams and Henry, or as Ella calls them, "my favorite boys".

Tuesday we beat the heat in the theater taking advantage of the free summer movies for kids. We watched Open Season with our good friends Brinlee, Becca and their big brother Braxton. Braxton has quickly become a fascination for Aidan, and he ADORES playing with him! Their Mom, Becky, and I met in 2006 when we were both in an online chat board/support group of people undergoing fertility treatments at the same clinic (REACH). We chatted every single day about our struggles, heartbreaks, and eventual successes.

It is so wonderful to witness these little miracles that we worked so hard to bring into the world play together!

We completed our tour of local spraygrounds by visiting Latta Park on Thursday with Owen, Cammie, Adams and Henry. I have been scouting out all of the spraygrounds around town to find the best one to schedule one of my CMOM's (Charlotte Mothers of Multiples) playdates - and decided that this is the one!

The park has a wonderful (fenced!) sprayground with an adjacent playground that is just perfect for our little monkeys! We all enjoyed some time in the water, some time on the playground, and a nice picnic lunch!

We concluded our week by heading to Tega Cay to visit to our friends Lucy and Reece (big sister Ella was at camp). Their mom, Dorothy, and I share a ton in common and had the best time chatting about both the struggles and the amazing fun of twindom!

About 10 minutes into our playdate, we turned our backs for literally no less than 4 minutes, and Ella walked up to me asking to wash her hands - she had some sort of foamy soap all over them. We looked up to find Lucy and Reece covered head to toe with soap!

It was quite the clean-up, but also quite hilarious and was a fantastic way to end such a great week and kick off the 4th of July Holiday weekend!
