This was a terribly difficult decision to make, and one that we spent much time and many tears agonizing over. We had simply reached the point that we did not have adequate time to be able to devote to them anymore. Poor Ripley was losing weight and was just not used to not being the center of attention. Add that to the fact that Abby really did not care for the kids, and we were in quite a predicament.
To make a long story short, Mike's parents agreed to take Abby and I found a new home for Ripley.
Fast forward to this past Sunday - and we now have Ripley back - well, actually she is staying at the Parker's house for now, but she is back with the family!
Apparently, her new family could no longer afford to keep her, and they contacted me and said it was me or the pound. Hmm...not a hard decision to make there!
She is very skinny and her coat has lost it's once beautiful shiny black sheen, but we will get her back into shape in no time.
We are thrilled to have her back with the clan and are slowly re-introducing both Abby and Ripley to the kids. Things are quite different now that Ella and Aidan chase them around!
