Lauren is one month old today!


Weight: 10 pounds 4 ounces (80%)
Height: 22.5 inches (93%)
Head: 14 3/4 inches (50%)

She is growing well, despite the fact that she is constantly screaming and crying. Literally - if she is not asleep, 99.9 % of the time she is crying. 

So, she is now on reflux medication (like Ella was) and has been switched to a hypoallergenic formula (wicked expensive!). So far, nothing seems to help. 

She eats every two hours around the clock - I have desperately tried getting her to go to at least three hours to no avail. I tried upping her to 4 ounces in each feeding, but that failed and most of the time she would still only eat 3 of the ounces, so in an effort not to waste the liquid gold known as Alimentum, we are back to 3 ounces. 

She even cries while she eats, which led me to having her tested for a possible milk allergy. She has been tested twice, but is not allergic at all - but the pediatrician suggested the special formula anyway, because....well, you just never know what may help!

Thus we are left with an official diagnosis - colic. 

Wish us patience (and lots of wine) to get through the next few months until she grows out of the colic stage!
