So....we got creative!
We dismantled the dining room table and moved out all of the chairs. We left the china cabinet and buffet, and moved the kitchen table into the dining room, thus leaving the sunroom our new blank slate. To our surprise, the dining room looks great and this new arrangement works perfectly! In fact, it is nice to now actually utilize all of the space in our house! We just need to save up some money to install hardwood floors in the dining room (donations are always welcome! - ha ha!)
We then got to work in the new playroom - assembling storage for toys, the train table, a play kitchen and a chalkboard wall. Rather than purchase artwork, I decided to let Ella and Aidan be the artists, and have framed a few of their personal masterpieces. In addition, they each have spaces to hang future works of art!
The space has been done for a month or so now, and we could not be happier with the way it all came together. I still have a few things I want to add to the room, but am taking my time finding exactly what I have envisioned for those spaces. The sunroom is a perfect place for them to play - it is so bright and cheery! Just perfect for two little minds to "Play, Laugh & Grow"!
