We spent Tuesday at the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC with friends from school - Owen and his little sister Cammie (and Mom, Stephanie, of course!). This was literally the first time in probably more than 6-8 months that I have used the stroller. We chatted about it on the way to the zoo - how it was just me and Daddy was not there to help keep them safe, so we needed to use the stroller. Much to my surprise, they hopped right in and were wonderful the entire day. They hopped in and out at each animal without the remotest hint of a fuss!
The kids all had such fun checking out all of the animals. Aidan spent the entire day requesting to see the giraffes while Ella was determined to see the zebras.
Any outing is a grand success with two tired children at the end!
Today we headed over to Owen and Cammie's house for a playdate.
From the minute we arrived, Aidan was captivated by Owen's Lightening McQueen car. Not just small matchbox type of car, but one that sits in the garage and is actually driven around. It took a few minutes for him to get the hang of how to drive. For a while he just kept running into things. But within about 10 minutes he had it down pat and was even giving Cammie rides!
Ella stuck to the tricycle - she is a pro and is always demanding that we watch her pedal!
We had such fun and will definitely have continuing playdates throughout the summer!
