We met the Kilcoyne family and the Weltz family at the Ballantyne Resort for a tour of their Gingerbread Lane followed by a visit with Santa. All I can say is that out of seven little ones, not a single one sat on Santa's lap. Aidan, in fact, refused to come within five feet of him! Ella, with the assistance of being held in Daddy's arms, gave him a quick high-five before hiding her face in Daddy's neck.
All of the kids had way too much fun after the brief Santa torture running around together and eating entirely too many cookies and marshmallows!
We did manage to complete one amazing stunt - a photo with all seven children and no tears! That would be six two-year olds and four-year old Preston leading the charge - all standing together and happy!
It is amazing what you can accomplish with the promise of a marshmallow!
From there it was off to Santa visit # 2 for the day at the CMOM's (Charlotte Mothers of Multiples) Holiday Party.
This time, Aidan warmed up to Santa after a little bit, and wound up being open to giving him a high five!
Ella; however, would have nothing to do with the jolly old man! I just love the nasty look she gives him as she runs by and clings to my legs after we took the photos!
Our Christmas celebrations are far from over - much more fun to come over the next two weeks!
