Ella and Aidan got to mingle with dozens of other sets of multiples amidst pumpkins galore! We took a covered wagon ride down to a little petting farm where they saw cows, ducks, sheep, goats, chickens, rabbits, pigs, and my personal favorite, ponies. Neither one of them had an ounce of fear of any of the animals. The cow was HUGE and Ella walked right up, watched her eating hay for a minute, and then reached down, picked up some hay and “handed” it to the cow – all the while repeating “moo, moo”. They both ran right over to the sheep yelling “baa, baa” and even quacked at the ducks.
Aidan was way more interested in all of the trucks and tractors than the pumpkins. He ran from truck to truck repeating “tuk, tuk, vrrrm” – this place was his personal paradise. For Ella, the animals were clearly the highlight of the day. She held her hand with one finger pointed and touched all of the animals with just that one pointer finger (you can see that finger ready to touch the sheep in one of the pictures).
The morning was completed with Ella and Aidan getting to pick out their own little pumpkins to take home. We had so much fun!
As usual, I had visions in my head of getting the perfect pumpkin picture – what a joke! They were just too busy to sit still, especially Aidan. But, I tried – I think I got a few good pictures.
