We departed for Disney at 9:30 AM on Saturday, October 9 and I have to say that the kiddos were amazing. We only made four stops during the entire nine hour drive (one for lunch and others for potty breaks), and there was minimal fussing - really it was just the excitement of the unknown and beginning our wonderful vacation!
We just relaxed around the condo once we arrived and headed into Downtown Disney to grab some dinner.
I think this is where Aidan got his first taste of what was to come - when he saw the first Buzz Lightyear, he just about passed out with excitement!
I did an extensive amount of research before our trip and we decided that we would follow the guide book advice and save the major parks for during the week, so we knew that we would be back to explore in the morning.
Sunday morning we made our way back to Downtown Disney (about 4 miles from our resort), and headed directly to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique so that little Ella could have a fun morning of being transformed into a princess!
When we left that morning, Ella was ecstatic!
When we arrived....
....she was given her personal "princess papers"...
....and sat in her own chair, ready to be transformed!
And the princess magic began!
First her makeup....
....and her hair....
...and her nails....
....and then the best part - the pixie dust!
And a new princess is born!
So, while Ella and I were busy doing "girl things" (as she calls it), Aidan and Daddy were out doing "boy things" (as he calls it). When we met up with them for lunch at the T-Rex Cafe....
.... Aidan had also made a transformation - into Woody!
After lunch we rode a train and a carousel....
....and headed back to the condo with our princess and Woody!
What a fun day, and a GREAT way to start out our week of Disney Fun!
