While the big kids had fun with Grandaddy and more games of "sticky ball", burying feet in the sand, catching fish in the surf and playing in Lauren's "fish bowl"....
....poor Lauren did her best to keep up, but she just did not feel well at all. Her fever kept her up at night and she really just wanted to cuddle during the day, taking her naps snuggled in the Ergo or in my arms while the kids swam in the pool....
....Ella spent a bit of extra time with Lauren, and it melted my heart....
.....Lauren took a VERY long afternoon nap in my arms after lunch, and turned into a happy, happy baby! So we decided to stick with our original plan of playing putt putt, an early dinner, and dusk photos on the beach.
The twins had never played putt-putt before and they had a blast (I believe that Grandaddy won the game)! Everyone joined in on the fun while Lauren hung out with me in the Ergo. Aidan was the first to finish and was stunned when his ball disappeared at the last hole. Once Ella realized what happens at that hole, she refused to finish the game, as she did not want to give up her beloved pink ball!
Lauren's fever returned while at dinner, so we decided to forgo the photo session....until we got back to the hotel and the twins begged to go on the beach. So, while Mike put Lauren to bed, I took Ella and Aidan down for a mini photo session, which was going splendidly....
....until this picture....
....once Aidan got his pants wet he was done.
Time for bed....
