We arrived on Tuesday afternoon (May 14) and after getting settled in the condo, we headed down to the docks to set some crab traps (checking the traps became a source of entertainment for the entire trip!)....
....and enjoyed time at the pool while the men went grocery shopping....
....after a quick pizza dinner for the big kids....
...it was off to bed, a process that took many hours that first night!
We were all up bright and early and excited to head to the beach! What a wonderful day - we spent nearly 5 hours on the beach loving the sun and sand....
....a little someone had the time of her life and was nothing short of adorable in her ladybug bathing suit and hat....
....and when it was time for a nap, she slept like a champ in the Ergo as I walked the beach....
....the twin crew +1....
After a little break, we headed for a dip in the pool....
Thursday brought about a "first" for our little ones - a ride on a boat....
....we took the boat out to a private spot, set anchor, and enjoyed a picnic lunch all by ourselves....
The boat ride was just what sweet little Lauren needed for her naps....
The day was so much fun, and once the kids were all asleep...
...the adults enjoyed a fabulous low country boil!...
It was a bit rainy and dreary on our last morning, so we decided to make a trip into Wilmington to see the battleship....
....while the big kids all enjoyed exploring the ship, Lauren needed her morning nap, so we hung out on deck....
We enjoyed lunch in downtown Wilmington, and then explored a bit - finding a pirate ship....
....before we had to head home.
We cannot express enough our gratitude for the invitation, or begin to put into words just how much fun we had. Life is just so wonderful with dear friends, and we are blessed to be able to share in such fun times with amazing people!
